Introduction to the academic department

The Health & Welfare Department is a 3-year academic department established to cope with the diversified welfare demands of modern people. Based on the concept of talent of the University for nurturing of [Competent persons with integrity], we are nurturing specialized welfare manpower equipped with practical knowledge through NCS-based worksite linked education for the acquisition of personality and intelligence to be used for the society and country, and academic knowledge. Social issues are also changing in accordance with the rapidly changing social phenomena including changes in industries arising from the 4th generation industrial revolution and entry in to super-aged society. Accordingly, nurturing of competent social workers capable of presenting creative alternatives for new issues has become more important than ever. Our Department is providing theoretical education and educational curriculums for improvement of practical affairs capabilities of students to cultivate outstanding social workers. Students can acquire national qualifications in relevant areas including not only Class 2 social worker but also healthy family center worker and Class 3 youth counselor by sincerely completing the educational curriculums of our Department.
