Introduction to the academic department

Rapid technological advancements with the emergence of the 4th generation industrial revolution gradually increased the sense of alienation that human beings are experiencing. As such, there is incremental demands for the spatial design capable of supporting the ensuing sensibility and lifestyle of human beings. Therefore, the major in interior design is aimed at the nurturing of creative competent persons for spatial design capable of supporting organic association between people by providing psychological stability for people through space by advancing further from the primary goals such as aesthetic pursuit of the space and enhancement of efficiency while adhering to the creativity and aesthetic formativeness as the basic aspects.

Educational goals

Our academic department set cultivation of on-site type spatial designer equipped with creative communication ability and outstanding expressive capabilities for transition of the daily life spaces of human beings into more pleasant, functional, emotional and aesthetic space by learning specialized techniques including spatial composition planning and expression capability, and practical ability in construction thereof for indoor and outdoor designs through the provision of educational curriculum centered around practical works at industrial sites as the foremost goal.

Our academic department strengthened personality education and major education for each individual as well as for small groups through the implementation of system of supervising professor in charge of each of the major courses. In addition, we are continuing to establish centralized in-depth educational system with formative education that values individual creativity, computer operation education in accordance with interdisciplinary support system, practical design education with industry-academia collaboration system, experimental practice-centered experiential design education and technological communication education through team work as the core aspects.
