Introduction to the academic department

Major in hotel tourism is aiming to cultivate mid-level managers in the areas of travel service, accommodation service, and specialized hotel, restaurant and food service through provision of education on the theories and practical affairs necessary in tourism and hospitality industries. Through the provision of personality education to nurture service mindset, foreign language and etiquette education to equip students with global competencies, and programs for acquisition of various qualifications in the hospitality industry including numerous hotel, tour agency and restaurant related qualifications with the goal of more than 2 qualifications for each student by linking them with classes, we are striving to nurture the best specialists in the tourism and hospitality industries in Korea.

Educational goals

We fundamentally place foremost priority on personality education in order to nurture specialized manpower to work in various areas of hotel and tourism industries. Efforts are put in to develop and provide optimal educational curriculum that includes basic theories and practical affairs for the area of major necessary in the actual worksites. In particular, we provide educational curriculum for acquisition of qualification and completion certificates related to hotel, tourism and restaurant operation and competencies in foreign languages.
