Introduction to the academic department
Students will be led to nurture the ability execute product modeling and product design as technological engineers complying with the demands of the era of the 4th generation industrial revolution. In order to nurture metallic mold engineers capable of product modeling and designing, and executing practical affairs related to mold production at molding companies by means of product designed modeling, students will be led to equip themselves with the ability to design and manufacture molds for production of household appliances and automobile parts by learning injection mold design, CAM programming and injection molding interpretation.
Educational goals
Items that we are always using in our daily life such as mobile phone, TV, automobile and MP3, etc. cannot be manufactured without molds. As the industry is advancing to increasingly higher levels, advancement in the mold industry is essential in order to improve quality and increase the values of products. Therefore, as there is an extensive need for mold design specialists to further advance mold industry, this department will nurture professional engineers required at industries by teaching all aspects of mold engineering from the basic theories to practicum including product design, 3D CAD/CAM, CAE, press mold design and injection mold design, etc. to students to nurture mold design specialists. Culture education and personality education will also be provided in order to produce sincere people capable of leading blissful life at high level. Moreover, competent personnel who will lead the mold industry will be nurtured by providing education on linguistics and new mold technologies, etc.
