Japanese Business Major in Global Business Department

Introduction to the academic department

We are introducing differentiated practical on-site affairs-type NCS educational curriculums and reflecting the diversified needs of the students in the operation of our Department to accomplish our educational goals. In addition, we were selected for the global on-site learning project of the Ministry of Education of Korea for 10 years in succession. As such, we not only provide opportunity for practical affairs education at local companies in Japan but also employment at luxurious hotels and as ground crews of airlines in Japan.

Educational goals

Our Department is striving to nurture competent persons capable of making contributions towards the society by cultivating specialized knowledges and practical affairs capabilities necessary in working for relevant companies. For this purpose we are providing academic curriculums including language education, global business education and global shop operation education, etc. as follows. Language education is aimed at nurturing the ability of students to communicate in specialized Japanese business areas by teaching grammar, reading, conversation, composition, Chinese characters, class 1, 2 and 3 qualification exam, and audiovisual Japanese language capabilities. For the Korea-Japan trading areas, our Department provides education for specialized occupations with the utilization of National Competency Standards (NCS) including Introduction to business administration and economics, Practical affairs in export and import (NCS academic course) and overseas marketing (NCS academic course), etc. in order for the students to engage in works related to import and export from and to Japan.
For the area of global shop operation, we offer educational curriculums including Japanese history, Understanding Japanese culture, Global shop operation (NCS academic course), Introduction to corporate accounting and Global manners and etiquettes, etc. to enable the students to understand the social cultures not only of Japan but also the international society and to conduct communication with customers in Japan as well as various other countries in the world proficiently.
