Introduction to the academic department

This department is aimed at nurturing mid-grade engineers capable of playing core roles in the construction facility area, which is taking up increasingly higher proportion due to increase in the heights, sizes and automation of the buildings constructed in recent years. For this purpose, we are increasing employment rate of our students by providing education on theoretical knowledge and practical affairs on construction facilities under practicum facilities that can be applied immediately at the worksites. Moreover, we are providing broader employment opportunities and scholarship benefits through diversified industry-academia collaboration activities such as socially customized projects (LINC+), etc.

Educational goals

We strive to nurture workers capable of executing works sincerely at industrial sites on the foundation of personality education to nurture attitude to serve and take responsibilities for the society. Modern buildings are becoming highly segmented, and increasingly larger and automated according to their uses. Moreover, interior environment of buildings are undergoing diversified changes, thereby putting greater importance on construction facilities. Construction facilities include mechanical and fire extinction facilities, etc. and this department deals with academic discipline of designing, constructing and managing facilities in accordance with the use of each of the buildings.
There has been marked increase in the demands for capable mid-level engineers equipped with design, construction and management abilities to appropriately maintain the functions of buildings in the recent years. Accordingly, this department aims to provide education in order for students to more easily adapt to the practical works at relevant industries through theories and practicum on various facilities related to indoor environment.
